George Michael reveals his plans for a gay wedding
Former Wham! Front man, George Michael has made public his plans to marry long term partner Kenny Goss when gay weddings become legal in Britain.
The popstar who has been in a ten year relationship with Mr Goss said that they plan to register their partnership shortly after the Civil Partnership Act comes into force in England and Wales with a ceremony due in the early part of 2006.
The singer said: “‘I’m sure Kenny and I will be doing the old legal thing, but we won’t be doing the whole veil and gown thing. It’ll be relatively soon after it comes in, probably early next year.”
He added, “”I want Kenny to have his rights just as I want mine. It’s wonderful that gay marriages will become legal and it is long overdue.”
George Michael is due to be attending Elton John’s marriage to long term partner David Furnish in December.
