Gay penguins resist split attempts
Two gay German penguins are resisting attempts to split them up so they can breed with their female counterparts.
Bremerhaven Zoo in Bremen, imported four Swedish penguins to seduce gay couple Six Point and Slash. However, the temptresses’ advances have been met with a frosty reception.
The pair instead remain devoted to and nurse pebbles as if they were eggs.
The gay males were separated from each other and one by one the females were introduced. The males pined for each other until they were reunited.
Zoo boss, Heike Zueck suggested the pair weren’t solely to blame, “The Swedes are rather standoffish.”
Attempts by the Zoo to separate the pair have been met with protests by gay groups. Gay penguins have previously been found in Japan.
