Sharon Stone’s Basic Instinct lesbian scenes cut
Producers of the sequel to Basic Instinct were forced to edit steamy lesbian sex scenes from the new movie after US censors threatened to give the film a restrictive rating.
The filmmakers were keen to keep the film commercial, so on the advice of the ratings board, removed the raunchy material featuring Sharon Stone and French actress Annie Caillon.
Stone said, “We shot the menage-a-trois (scene) and the girl was really beautiful and hot, this amazing French actress and the ratings board made us take it out… I guess it was too hot.” But
She added “If you want to see it, I know it’s been online.”
The 18 certificate Basic Instinct 2 is released in the US and UK on March 31.
