Suspected homophobic attack in Brazil
Four people were attacked last weekend in a suspected homophobic assault in Brazil where an increasing spate of incidents are being perpetrated by gangs of skinheads.
A man was stabbed several times and three others were targeted on a street where several gay bars are located in Rua da Consolacao, Sao Paulo, according to police.
Another man and two women were also hurt, the stab victim is still in hospital.
Police claim a gang of around 15 victims surrounded them and started attacking them for no reason.
No suspects have been arrested and police suspect the attack was motivated by homophobia,
A gang of skinheads stabbed two men and ran over four others in São Paulo last month in an attack attributed to the neo-nazi movement.
