Gay scandal church hunting out sinners
An Evangelical Church has begun a witch hunt for any sinners in an attempt to regroup itself after the scandal involving its former leader Ted Haggard.
Haggard resigned from his post at Colorado’s New Life Church last month amid reports of meetings with a gay rent boy, now acting Senior Pastor, Ross Parsley, has called for help to ensure that its ministers and ministries behave according to the Church doctrine.
The New Life Church has very quickly got what it wanted after yet another scandal was uncovered after interviews with pastoral staff and senior church leaders.
Christopher Beard, The Director of New Life Church’s 24/7 ministry, resigned soon after being questioned.
A New Life Church statement said: “It became apparent that he had displayed poor judgment in several decisions throughout his tenure. This poor judgment included one instance of consensual sexual contact with another unmarried adult several years ago. “
The Church is now calling on anyone else to come forward with information that may cause it embarrassment.
Reverend Ted Haggard, formerly Senior Pastor of the New Life Church in Colorado, resigned from his role after it was reported that he had meetings with a gay rent boy.
Male escort, Mike Jones, claims that Haggard, a vocal opponent of gay marriage, was a monthly client for the last three years.
Jones is now rumoured to be considering a book deal on the issue.
