Gay stars to perform for Diana
It’s been 10 years since Diana, Princess of Wales died in a car accident in Paris, but even in death she remains the “People’s Princess.”
On Sunday, July 1st, 2007, on what would have been her 46th birthday, Princes William and Harry are planning a bash of royal proportions to commemorate the life of their mother with the Concert for Diana, which will be broadcast live from London’s Wembley Stadium.
Gay performers Sir Elton John and Will Young will be joined by Duran Duran, Bryan Ferry, Lily Allen, Kanye West, Rod Stewart, Natasha Bedingfield, Nelly Furtado, P. Diddy, Tom Jones, Take That, The Feeling, James Morrison, Status Quo, The English National Ballet, and Joss Stone.
Aerosmith’s Joe Perry will also perform with the British mack daddy Tom Jones and Anastacia, Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman, Donny Osmond and Jason Donovan will perform in a special musical medley which Andrew Lloyd Webber has put together for the concert.
The Sun reports that footballer David Beckham will take to the stage to introduce Take That and Sir Elton.
