The helpful folks at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport are fielding some interesting questions these days.

Chief among them: “Excuse me, can you please tell me where the Larry Craig bathroom is?”

“It’s become a tourist attraction,” Karen Evans, an information specialist at the airport, told the Associated Press earlier today.

Another of the airport’s friendly crew also has been busy pointing passersby to the popular restroom.

“It’s by the lottery shop, right next to the shoeshine shop,” newsstand worker Abdalla Said told AP.

And what about the man who runs that particular shoeshine shop?

“People have been going inside, taking pictures of the stall, taking pictures outside the bathroom door,” the man, Royal Zino, told the Associated Press. “man, it’s been crazy.”

The “Larry Craig bathroom” rose to prominence after the Idaho Republican was arrested by a Minneapolis airport police officer and pleaded guilty to misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

Craig now claims his guilty plea was a mistake and is attempting to have it withdrawn.

His request will be heard September 26th, less than a week before he is expected to step down from his Senate seat.

Regardless of the case’s outcome, the “Larry Craig bathroom” is sure to welcome a steady flow on onlookers for some time.

Jon and Sally Westby of Minneapolis paid it a visit before heading to Guatemala.

“We had to just stop and check out the bathroom,” Sally Westby told the Associated Press.

“In fact, it’s Jon’s second time – he was here last week already.”
