Logo to screen gay basketball reality show
MTV is known for producing provocative and entertaining reality series and as the parent company of the gay network Logo it’s no wonder that they are bringing their expertise in the field to the fledgling channel.
Logo has announced that among their other reality based shows Rockdogs will be part of the summer line up and will follow the Gay Games gold medal-winning basketball team.
The San Francisco Rock Dogs are a highly successful gay basketball team, which earned the gold medal at last year’s Gay Games in Chicago, upsetting the New York Warriors.
The mostly African American squad lives and trains together in the city and is expected to again dominate at Gay Games and other competitions in the future.
The show will follow the 12 players and will highlight the teams successes and failures that they have been through since their establishment.
Produced by Eddie October Productions and William Kendall, Rockdogs is a show that will help fulfill the growing interest in the gay sports movement.
The show will consist of six half hour episodes and will feature interviews with the men on the team both on and off the court.
The show is slated to begin this summer.
