Ronaldo in transvestite prostitute confusion
The Brazilian AC Milan football star Ronaldo on Monday discovered that three prostitutes he “picked up” were actually transvestites. One allegedly tried to blackmail him into handing $30,000 (£15,000) to keep the incident secret.
He discovered that the three prostitutes were really men when he took them to a motel in Rio de Janeiro.
Local newspapers are claiming that one of the transvestites, Andre Luiz Ribeiro Albertino is claiming that Ronaldo tried to hit him, once he discovered his true gender.
Carlos Augusto Nogueira, of the Brazilian police said that Ronaldo “reported that Andreia had taken his car documents and demanded $30,000 [£15,000].”
He added: “Ronaldo admits the facts. He said he just wanted to amuse himself, that’s not a crime. To pay to have sexual relations isn’t illegal.
“There’s a strong chance that Ronaldo has been the victim of extortion.”
A video posted on Youtube apparently shows the footballer together with the transvestites.
In a statement to TV Globo, Ronaldo reiterated he was a victim of extortion and denied he has ever used drugs.
In April 1999, Ronaldo married Milene Domingues. The marriage lasted four years and ended in divorce. The couple had a seven year old son called Ronald .
In 2005, Ronaldo got engaged to Brazilian model and MTV VJ Daniela Cicarelli, who became pregnant but suffered a miscarriage; their relationship lasted 3 months after their engagement.
Writer Andrew Downie asserted a correlation between Ronaldo’s personal life and performance on the pitch, noting that his most prolific periods of goal scoring have coincided with the times when he was happily married.
Ronaldo has won two World Cups with Brazil, including the in 2002 when he scored eight goals, including two in the final against Germany.
