Gay groups call for medical help for ‘homophobic’ university professor
A Spanish university professor who said gays and bisexuals are “ill” and “unworthy” needs mental help, gay groups have said.
Gloria María Tomás y Garrido, a bioethics professor at the San Antonio Catholic University in Murcia, said at a seminar last month that anything which is not heterosexual, including masturbation, is “perverted”.
She added that gay and bisexual people are “ill” and “unworthy”.
The COLEGAS gay and lesbian confederation has called for “urgent psychological treatment” for the professor, saying she is suffering from the serious illnesses of intolerance and homophobia.
