Pop star claims he had gay relationship with rocker Gavin Rossdale
The lead singer of rock band Bush had a five-year sexual relationship with an out British singer, it has been alleged.
Marilyn, 46, who was popular in the 1980s, told In Touch Weekly that they were lovers – an allegation he had denied in 1995.
Mr Rossdale, also 46, is married singer Gwen Stefani in 2002 and is the father of her two children. He is also the father of fashion model Daisy Lowe.
Bush achieved huge chart success in the United States from 1994 until 2002, but were never as successful in the UK.
“I agreed to lie against every grain of my being,” Marilyn told In Touch Weekly.
“We were together five years, but it felt like 40.”
Mr Rossdale had previously denied the relationship, which was revealed in Boy George’s 1995 autobiography, Take It Like A Man.
