London vigil to be held for victims of Tel Aviv massacre
A vigil is to be held this afternoon at 5pm BST (British Summer Time) to honour the victims of the shooting at a gay centre in Tel Aviv last night.
A masked gun man dressed head to toe in black entered a meeting for gay teemaers. He killed two people and shot another 13, spraying the interior of the building with automatic rifle fire and reportedly attempted to enter another venue. Witnesses described it a scene of a “blood bath.”
An event will take place at Soho Square in central London, right at the heart of the British gay community.
Ten years ago, Soho was the site of a anti-gay bomb which killed three people, while 80 were injured.
