A 21-year-old man was due to appear in court today charged with the murder of Destiny Lauren, a trans woman.

Leo Fyle, unemployed, of Laleham Road, Catford, appeared before City of Westminster magistrates’ court.

Lauren, 29, was found collapsed at her home in Leighton Crescent, Kentish Town on November 5th. She was rushed to hospital but could not be revived.

Police confirmed she was a sex worker and initial post mortem examination results show she was strangled.

A 35-year-old man who was arrested in connection with her murder has been bailed until next month.
