Italian footballer player could be punished for gay magazine shoot
An Italian football player who posed in his underwear for a gay magazine could face sanctions from his club.
Napoli player Jesus Datalo posed for monthly gay publication Romeo Mag.
The article included five pictures, including one in the team’s strip, and an interview in which he said he hoped he could become a role model.
Club president Aurelio De Laurentis was reportedly visibly displeased by news of the shoot.
According to Momento24, he said: “The image of Napoli rights [has] been violated”.
Italian sports blogs have speculated the player may be fined for appearing in the magazine.
