Gay vultures split up by zookeepers
A pair of gay vultures at a zoo in Germany will be split up so one can be mated with a female.
The male couple, both 14, have been building a nest together for the past few months.
Dirk Wewers, curator at the Allwetter Zoo in Muenster, said the zoo needed baby vultures and that one of the gay vultures would be mated with a female at a Czech zoo.
He said: “They weren’t happy as a gay couple anyway – the other vultures picked on them and stole their nest materials.”
