Chris Brown defends homophobic comment to photographer

US singer Chris Brown has defended himself after calling a paparazzi photographer ‘gay’.
The star made the remark after almost receiving a parking ticket in Los Angeles.
According to TMZ, Brown appeared to accuse the photographer of calling traffic wardens to report that his car was parked illegally.
He allegedly said: “Y’all n***** is weak. Did you all call them to try and film me? Y’all n***** is gay.”
The Human Rights Campaign was not impressed and a spokesman called the remarks “plain unnacceptable”.
Afterwards, Brown tweeted: “I have total respect for Gay community and my intention was not to insult anyone in it.”
Brown, who was charged with assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, has form for anti-gay insults.
Last year, he called singer Raz-B a “homo” after the pair got into a Twitter scrap.
