Canadian porn star ‘who cannibalised his male lover’ arrested in Berlin
A bisexual porn star who was the subject of an international manhunt for cannibalising his male lover has been arrested in Berlin, and is set to be deported to his native Canada.
Luka Rocco Magnotta, now dubbed ‘the Canadian Psycho,’ has been the subject of an Interpol-mediated international manhunt, after he allegedly murdered his male lover, dismembered his body parts, ate parts of it, and posted other body parts to political parties in Canada.
Mr Magnotta, 29, is an actor in gay porn films, and is described as bisexual.
He was arrested at the Karl-Marx-Straße in the Neukölin district of Berlin, where he arrived after catching an overnight coach from Paris on Friday. The owner of an internet cafe recognised him, and tipped off the local police.
Mr Magnotta’s lover was a 33 year old Chinese student, Jun Lin. Police say that Mr Magnotta posted a video of his murder online, entitled ‘One Lunatic, One Ice Pick.’
The accused is thought to have fled Montreal for Paris two days after the murder, where, despite the international search, he seems to have escaped through customs unnoticed.
It is thought that Mr Magnotta also worked as a male prostitute under the name ‘Angel’ and had plastic surgery to look ‘more like James Dean.’ Berlin Police say that they had no problems arresting the porn star, who just said: ‘You got me.’
Mr Magnotta will now be extradited to Canada, where he faces first-degree murder trial.
