Oreo unveils rainbow cookie image for Pride
US cookie maker Oreo has unveiled an image of a rainbow-coloured version of its famous biscuit for Pride.
Oreo often posts photos on its Facebook page of customised versions of its distinctive black and white cookies to celebrate timely events.
It has also posted photos in the past to commemorate the invention of the yo-yo, colour television and the year Everest was first climbed.
Yesterday’s gay pride cookie featured the traditional white cream filling replaced with seven cream fillings in rainbow colours.
The image is captioned: “Made with creme colours that do not exist”.
Oreo, which is head-quartered in New Jersey, is owned by the Nabisco division of Kraft foods.
