Lancashire: LGBT community urged to help finding missing teen
Lancashire Police are re-appealing for information about the whereabouts of a teenage boy, who has links with the LGBT community, and has been missing from his home in Leyland for almost two weeks.
16-year-old Anthony Stubbs was last seen at his home on Leyland Lane around 1pm on Sunday 25 November. He intended to go to his mother’s address at nearby Southbrook Road but never arrived.
Police and his family are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare and say it is very much out of character for him to not make any contact.
Officers are appealing to anybody with any information about his whereabouts to contact them. The teenager has connections to the Manchester, Bolton and Blackpool areas.
Chief Inspector Geoff Hurst said: “Anthony has not made any contact with either his friends or family which is very much out of character. He has a three-month-old baby at home who we know he must miss and our main aim is to locate Anthony safe and well, and bring him home to his family.
“We want him to know that there is support for him at home and that he is not in any kind of trouble”.
Chief Inspector Hurst went on to say: “Anthony has connections to the LGBT community and I would ask that anyone who thinks they may know where Anthony is or if you are with him, maybe looking after him, please come forward – both the police and his family just need to know he is safe.
“I would also appeal directly with Anthony to get in touch and to let us know he is okay.”
Anyone with any information about his whereabouts should contact Lancashire Police on 101.
