Piers Morgan: The Bible needs to be amended so it supports same-sex marriage
During an interview on his chat show with the Californian anti-gay pastor Rick Warren, Piers Morgan urged for an “amendment to the Bible” to allow for equal marriage.
“Both the Bible and the Constitution were well intentioned but they are basically, inherently flawed. Hence, the need to amend it,” Morgan told Warren during a conversation earlier this week where the British presenter emphasised the need for America to separate church and state.
“My point to you about gay rights, for example, it’s time for an amendment to the Bible.”
“Uh, no,” replied Warren, in a conversation that remained civil between both parties reported the Blaze. “Not a chance. What I believe is flawed is human opinion, because it constantly changes.”
Meanwhile, Morgan has renewed his call for a ban on assault rifles as the number of Americans signing a petition to get him out of the country rises.
More than 65,000 people have now signed the petition on the White House website, ensuring the Obama administration will respond.
