US: TV actor Matt Dallas comes out as gay and engaged
US actor Matt Dallas who formerly starred in ABC’s ‘Kyle XY’ has come out as gay thanks to a remarkably casual posting on Twitter.
The actor posted “Starting off the year with a new fiancé,@bluehamilton. A great way to kick off 2013!”, the Tweet linked to a photo of his music producer fiancé, Brandon Blue Hamilton and the couple’s dog.
30-year-old Dallas has not publicly stated his sexuality before although there was speculation about it in the US press before.
Some US commentators have described the casual way in which Dallas has come out as a reflection on the changing reaction to sexuality in mainstream society.
