Witness accusing Big Brother star Jason Cowan of assault ‘thought he was gay’
Former Big Brother runner-up Jason Cowan allegedly sexually assaulted a woman who had earlier thought he was gay, a jury has been told.
Cowan, a contestant on the show in 2004, denies performing a sex act on the partygoer during an overnight stay at a lodge park in Lochgoilhead, Argyll, Scotland, in December 2011.
39-year-old Cowan issued a special defence of consent.
The alleged victim, a 36-year-old woman, recalled shouting, swearing and kicking at Cowan as he was on top of her.
Cowan, an ex-body builder who came second in Big Brother in 2004 to Nadia Almada, a transgender woman from Portugal, is accused of “penetrating” the witness when she was “incapable of giving or withholding consent”
The trial continues at the High Court in Glasgow.
