Rylan Clark: I’m more hated than Jimmy Savile

Celebrity Big Brother contestant Rylan Clark broke down in tears yesterday on the Channel 5 reality series and claimed he was more hated than paedophile Jimmy Savile.

The X Factor contestant fell apart when Celebrity Big Brother housemate Frankie Dettori told him he looked “an idiot” during last year’s appearance on the show.

Clark was stung by his remarks and said he had endured years of bullying at school for being gay.

The 24-year-old, who received death threats during his time on X Factor, said: “I think I’m an all right person but the amount of shit I get thrown at me is unreal.

“I’ve had worse press than Jimmy fucking Savile. “I even had death threats sent to my hotel and 24/7 security.

“I’ve been so busy for the last six months I haven’t had time to think about it. People said it would be all right after X Factor but they don’t see what happens.

“They don’t look at me like you guys. I’ve had a lucky touch here. I don’t think I’m a celebrity. I get frightened.

“Then I start thinking about my mum. What’s she going through?”

And he added: “I pray I’ve not fucked anything up in here.”
