Organisers of Birmingham Pride have confirmed that JLS will still perform their 60 minute DJ set at the event, despite today’s announcement that they are to split-up.

Other artists also confirmed to appear include X Factor finalist Rylan Clark, as well as Lucy Spraggan, Misha B and Stooshe.

Singer Paloma Faith, who recorded a video for the Out4Marriage campaign last year, will also perform a DJ set.

Birmingham Pride takes place over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend of Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May.

Pride Festival Director Lawrence Barton commented: “We are delighted to confirm that JLS will still be appearing at this year’s Birmingham Pride Festival in May with their interactive DJ set. It will be a great opportunity for fans to see them one last time before they quit for good. We shall be celebrating their five years of achievements including five No.1 singles, and it’s great to bow out when you’re on top.”

The band announced they’re to split on Twitter: “To our wonderfully heart felt fans, we’ve shared a phenomenal five years with you, memories that will never fade. Love you forever more”.

JLS first appeared on the X Factor in 2008 finishing second to Alexandra Burke and are made up of Oritse Williams, Marvin Humes, JB Gill and Aston Merrygold.
