Elton John: My feud with Madonna is now over
Sir Elton John has managed to end his showbiz feud with Madonna, which intensified last summer when he was asked about her feud with Lady Gaga.
“We were in a restaurant in France in the summertime. She came in, and I sent over a note. She was very gracious. I apologised profusely because what I said should never have appeared in public,” Sir Elton told Extra. “She accepted our apology, and then we bought her dinner. That’s over and done with. She was fantastic. She was just like, ‘Okay, let’s get a move on’”.
Sir Elton’s civil partner David Furnish went on to admit that both he and Sir Elton were “embarrassed” by the outburst.
“We don’t believe in putting negativity out in the world, both of us were embarrassed when all that stuff came out,” Furnish said.
