Man arrested on suspicion of raping another man on Brighton beach
A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of raping another man on Brighton beach.
Sussex Police say the incident happened during the early hours of Wednesday morning at around 3am between the Coalition nightclub and the sea.
It is understood that two men had met earlier on in the evening before going for a walk along the beach.
A rape is then reported to have taken place.
Sussex Police say a 32-year-old man is in custody. Detectives are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to contact them.
Anyone who witnessed what happened or has any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting serial 118 of 21/8.
