UK: Bisexual man to jump out of plane naked for charity
A North Staffordshire bisexual man is planning to do a naked parachute jump, providing he can raise £500 for charity.
Council worker Dan Cope is prepared to brave freezing conditions in just his birthday suit by leaping out of a plane at 10,000ft.
All funds raised will go to the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice.
Dan said: “I have decided to revive the tradition amongst the skydiving community of doing the 100th jump naked. I’m trying to raise as much money as I can for The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice, so to encourage people I’ve issued a challenge. I’ll do my jump in my boxers, but if I can get more than £500 in sponsorship, then I’ll jump naked and be filmed.
“The temperature could be around -30 degrees C so it’s going to be very uncomfortable, and I probably won’t be looking my best, but that’s nothing compared to the pain and discomfort that some of the children at the Hospice have to go through.”
Dan added: “All the money I raise will go to the charity’s new appeal ‘Fund the Gap’ which is helping the Hospice complete a major fundraising project and provide brilliant things like a brand new play area for the children.”
The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice provides a range of specialist care and support services for children with a shortened life expectancy and their families in Stoke on Trent.
