Body found in a bag Manchester’s gay village canal
Greater Manchester Police has confirmed that a body has been recovered from a canal in the heart of Manchester’s gay scene.
Police taped off the area between G-A-Y Bar and Princess Street. An underwater search team recovered a body after a section of the canal was drained.
The authorities were called after a member of the public telephoned the police telling them that they believed they saw a bag containing a body in the water.
