Chris Brown arrested after allegedly saying in altercation: ‘I’m not into this gay s**t’
Chris Brown has been accused of making a homophobic slur during an alleged attack on a man at the weekend.
The incident occurred outside a hotel in Washington DC at around 4.30am on Sunday morning.
TMZ.com reports a law enforcement source claimed that the R&B star said, “I’m not into this gay shit, I’m into boxing,” before punching the alleged victim.
The man, who suffered a broken nose, said that Brown went ”nuts” when the victim and a male friend attempted to get a photo of the singer whilst he was posing for another snap with two women.
Brown, 24, and his bodyguard are being held in custody.
In August, the ‘Don’t Wake Me Up’ star was ordered to do 1,000 hours of community service after his probation stemming from a 2009 assault on his ex-girlfriend Rihanna was restored.
Any arrest could be considered a violation of that probation, which could see him spending time behind bars.
Brown recently spoke out in support of gay rights – but he also has a history of making anti-gay remarks when he loses his temper.
