Anti-bullying group gets funds from My Little Pony tattoos following 11-year-old’s attempted suicide
A Texas tattoo parlour is offering to give My Little Pony tattoos in aid of an anti-bullying charity, after an 11-year old fan of the show attempted suicide.
According to MyFoxPhilly, Imperial Tattoo in Sugar Land, Texas, is offering $20 My Little Pony Tattoos to raise money for Stomp Out Bullying.
He is currently unresponsive, and uses breathing and feeding tubes to stay alive.
Tattoo parlour owner Tony Wayne said: “The story really touched me. I heard he was getting picked on for liking My Little Pony, obviously it’s a little different from what kids his age were watching, and it’s okay to be different, that’s why we wanted to do this.
“I want kids to know that they’re not alone, that other people go through this type of thing, and that it’s okay to stand up to bullying.
“If you want to get a tattoo to help this cause and you’re worried about the pain don’t worry we’ll walk you through it, we’ll be real gentle.”
Voice actor Andrea Libman, who plays Pinkie Pie, Michael’s favourite character on the show, previously got every member of the cast to record special messages for him after she was contacted by his step-father.
Fans have so far also raised over $68,000 (£41,300) for a recovery fund for Morones.
