The world of American sport was rocked this month that a player who is hotly tipped to be drafted into the NFL has come out as gay.
Michael Sam will become the first openly gay NFL player if he is successful, but fellow players, including Giants star Terrell Thomas have said that football “isn’t ready” for an openly gay player
