Sorry Putin, now a MARRIED LESBIAN has won a silver medal at Sochi

To the probable dismay of President Putin, an Austrian lesbian ski-jumper has become the second openly LGBT person to win a medal at the Sochi Winter Olympics.

Daniela Iraschko-Stolz, who is married to her partner, won the silver medal at the first-ever women’s ski-jump competition at the games.

Dutch bisexual speed skater Ireen WĆ¼st last weekend won the second gold medal for the Netherlands at the Sochi games.

30-year-old Iraschko-Stolz, who is representing Austria in the Sochi Games, last week caused controversy when she said she thought the reaction to Russia’s anti-gay laws had been “exaggerated”.

She has, however, said that she hopes eventually things will change for the better for LGBT people in Russia.

ā€œI hope for the future that the people now can see the sport as a chance to change something. That would be nice. Because everyone looks at Russia and its laws, and I think itā€™s a good idea to change something.ā€

Putin signed a law last June which bans the promotion of ā€œnon-traditional sexual relationshipsā€ to minors causing an outcry ahead of the Sochi games which are currently taking place.

On Sunday he “gave a cuddle” to Ireen Wust, and congratulated her on her victory at the games.
