Teenagers to be charged as adults for carving swastika into forehead of boy who called friend ‘gay’
Three teenagers in Portland, Oregon, are to be charged as adults in a case of kidnapping and torture during which the victim had a swastika carved into his forehead.
During the incident, reminiscent of a disturbing scene from the film ‘Inglourious Basterds’, the boy deemed a bully by his attackers also said he was forced to eat cat faeces and made to take his shirt off before being shot with a BB gun.
Reports suggest that four teenagers were taking revenge on a 16-year-old classmate who called their friend “gay” on social media.
Jenna Jean Montgomery, 15, is alleged by police to have lured their victim into a secluded shed behind a house in the south east area of Portland on 10 February.
She was said to have promised him drugs and sex, in order to get him there, but later admitted to that she had been used as “bait”.
The victim was then allegedly confronted by three boys; Jesse Taylor, 17, Blue Kalmbach, 15 and a 14-year-old who will be charged as a juvenile.
According to the victim, he was hit in the back of the head with a crowbar, after which Kalmbach allegedly made him remove his shirt and shot the victim in the chest, hand and groin with a BB gun, before carving a “swastika-shaped insignia” into his forehead, using a box cutter.
His iPod was then taken, and he was told to and get money and a skateboard for his attackers.
Instead of doing so, he called for help at a nearby auto shop.
The four suspects were arrested later in the same day. Currently being held in a juvenile detention centre, their charges include kidnapping, assault and robbery.
All four have entered not guilty pleas.
