US: Idaho protesters arrested and charged after trying to hold vigil
Protesters have been arrested and charged with trespassing, after they attempted to hold an all-night vigil at the Idaho Statehouse.
Former Senator Nicole LeFavour, leader of the Add the Words group, and two other gay activists, were arrested and charged after refusing to leave the Statehouse after its 10pm closing time.
The group advocates for the addition of sexual orientation and gender identity discrimination protections to the state’s Human Rights Act.
Friday marked the fifth time LeFavour has been arrested this year, but after being released, she had already announced another planned vigil.
