Sinitta: If Simon Cowell is gay, someone forgot to tell his penis
Sinitta has joked about gay rumours surrounding her ex-lover Simon Cowell.
The singer, who dated the music producer in the 1980s, joked to Closer magazine after a court heard claims from X Factor judge Tulisa’s manager that Cowell is gay.
Sinitta said: “If Simon is gay, someone forgot to tell his penis.
“He’s had so many girlfriends, it’s obvious which way he’s inclined. He’ll be laughing it off.”
During the trial, a recording was played in which Tulisa’s manager Gareth Varey was asked if Cowell was gay, to which he responded “yes”.
When asked whether he had slept with Cowell, Varey said he had not, but continued: “One day I will, when I make my move.”
Cowell’s representative had said: “In 2014 the question of whether someone is or is not gay is antiquated. (As it happens he isn’t, though if he were, he would simply have said so).”
“However, the issue was the false suggestion made by Mr Varey that Simon – who is renowned for his honesty and candidness – had thus not been truthful in the public arena and this is what we have been obliged to clarify.”
Simon Cowell and girlfriend Lauren Silverman recently celebrated the birth of their first child Eric. The couple later bought an apartment on the Upper East Side in New York.
