God Hates Fags church to picket Robin Williams funeral
The Westboro Baptist Church have announced they will picket the funeral of actor Robin Williams.
The Topeka-based anti-gay church, known for their ‘God Hates Fags’ banners, are currently in San Francisco for their ‘God Hates the Media’ campaign, targeting the headquarters of Apple, Facebook, and Twitter.
The star played a gay man in cult classic The Birdcage and cross-dressed in comedy Mrs Doubtfire, leading the church to claim he “made merchandise of filthy proud sin”.
The anti-gay group tweeted following the star’s death, labelling him a “fag pimp” and pledging to picket his funeral and any memorial services.

Valid assumption! @jhripley: I assume the WBC being in town to protest Apple means they’re doing a 2-for-1 & heading for Robin Williams too.

The church’s founder, Fred Phelps, passed away in March aged 84.
