Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons: I am not engaged to boyfriend
Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons has denied rumours that he is engaged to long-term boyfriend Todd Spiewak.
The actor, who plays Sheldon Cooper on the hit comedy series, took to Instagram to refute claims that he was set to tie the knot with Spiewak.
Posting a picture of the pair when they first got together in 2003, he wrote: Me and Todd in 2003. Still very happy today… And NOT engaged! #justFYI #NationalEnquirerMakesShitUp #duh”
The actor, who recently appeared in HBO’s acclaimed AIDS drama The Normal Heart, came out as gay in 2012 when he opened up about his committed relationship with Spiewak.
According to reports, Jim Parsons is the highest-paid gay actor on TV, after signing a new three-year contract for the popular CBS sitcom this month.
Parsons has been nominated for seven Emmys for his role on the series, and has won three, as well as a Golden Globe Award.
