A Russian extremist whose whose gang was alleged to have tortured gay teenagers and forced them to come out, has been sentenced to five years in a penal colony.

Maxim Sergeyevich Martsinkevich, the leader of ‘Occupy Paedophilia’ was alleged to have lured gay youths to abusive encounters.

PinkNews saw videos of the torture of the man and other victims on a Russian social network. The videos were too shocking and indecent to be published. One features a victim being sprayed with urine, another (the young man believed to have died) is forced to play with a sex toy. Another is stripped and forced to put his face into a toilet and drink the water. One teenager is stripped and forced into a bathe and then made to brandish a sex toy. It is unclear how or why the videos were made and released.

Last August, one gay teenager who was kidnapped and tortured by the neo-Nazis had commited suicide after having his sexuality revealed online.

Martsinkevich was convicted of inciting and fomenting cases of extremism by posting videos on VK.com, a social network popular in Russia. The videos contained racist slurs and extremist opinions, as well as those depicting torture.

The anti-gay videos, however, were not included in the prosecutor’s case against him.

Other members of the extremist group are awaiting their trial which will take place next month.

Nine members are accused of “committing crimes under several articles of the Criminal Code.”
