Kellie Maloney: ‘When I was 18 I lived as a girl for two years’

Openly trans boxing promoter Kellie Maloney has spoken out about living as a woman, and said she first did so over 40 years ago, when she was 18.
She revealed last Sunday that she is transgender, and has begun to transition.
The 61-year-old told housemates Edele Lynch and Frenchy Morgan that she lived as a woman for two years when she was 18.
“When I was 18, I lived as a girl for two years,” she said, but admitted that when she did so, living in North London, her family knew nothing about it.
Of her transition, she said: “I’ve got to have my boobs done… I’ve got a little bit more work to do on my face… Then there will be no stopping me!” she laughed.
Maloney attracted criticism earlier this week when she said: “I’m not homophobic, I have gay friends… I still don’t think that children should be brought up in same-sex marriages.”
