Lady Gaga joins Queen for Australian concert
Lady Gaga has appeared on stage with rock band Queen during for an Australian concert.
The band – who are currently touring with out singer Adam Lambert standing in as frontman – were playing at Sydney’s Allphones Arena today when the pop singer made a surprise appearance.
Lady Gaga joined the band on stage for a performance of Another One Bites The Dust early on in the setlist, wearing a dark frizzy wig reminiscent of Queen guitarist Brian May.
She later tweeted: “I just played with Queen I’m the happiest girl alive! #QAL”

Queen was fronted by rock icon Freddie Mercury before his death from AIDS-related bronchial pneumonia in 1991.
The band has performed with several singers since his death, but Lambert’s stint is the first time the band has been fronted by an out gay man.
The band also performed with Jessie J, who previously identified as bisexual, at the London Olympics opening ceremony, but the singer later clarified that she is straight.
Ben Whishaw last year signed on to play Freddie Mercury in a planned biopic, after Sacha Baron Cohen pulled out of the project.
However, after the film’s director also quit, Whishaw admitted he did not know whether the film was still going ahead.
