Paul Ross to take time off from radio show following affair revelations
Radio presenter Paul Ross is to take a leave of absence from his BBC London show, after opening up about a year-long affair with another man.
The broadcaster, the older brother of TV host Jonathan Ross, revealed today in a joint interview with his wife that he had been unfaithful to her after meeting another man in a cruising hotspot.
Mr Ross also spoke out about his drug habit, becoming addicted to mephedrone following the relationship.
A BBC spokesperson confirmed that the presenter’s weekday show on BBC London will not be on air while the host deals with his personal life.
The spokesperson said: “Paul has spoken about his personal problems at length. He will be taking some time off to deal with those issues and won’t be on air on Monday.”
Mr Ross said in the interview: “The person I have been over the last 14 months isn’t someone I recognise. I have done things I didn’t even think it was possible for a human being to do.”
Explaining how he first met the man, he said: “I went a couple of times and watched people have sex… I was there one day and I saw Barry with another guy and they were going into the bushes.
“I followed them. I ended up having sex with him in the bushes.”
