Paul Ross: I cheated on my wife with another man
A British TV host has opened up about having a year-long affair with another man.
Paul Ross – the elder brother of star Jonathan Ross – is a regular on This Morning, hosts a radio show on BBC London, and appeared earlier this year in Tom Daley’s diving series ‘Splash!’.
He told the Sun on Sunday today in a joint interview with his wife that he had been unfaithful to her after meeting another man in a cruising hotspot.
He said: “The person I have been over the last 14 months isn’t someone I recognise. I have done things I didn’t even think it was possible for a human being to do.”
Explaining how he met the man, he said: “I went a couple of times and watched people have sex… I was there one day and I saw Barry with another guy and they were going into the bushes.
“I followed them. I ended up having sex with him in the bushes.”
The affair, which lasted a year, was revealed when Barry contacted the TV host’s wife, Jackie.
Mr Ross also spoke out about his drug habit, becoming addicted to mephedrone following the relationship.
He said: “Would I describe myself as an addict? Yes, I would.”
The host also revealed that he had been facing a huge tax bill at the time of the affair, but was too ‘proud’ to ask his brother for money.
His wife added that she would stand by him, saying: “I know 90 per cent of Paul is a good man. He’s a good dad.”
“I feel the sex was part of the mephedrone package, I don’t see it as a gay relationship, I see it as part of the drugs.
“I’m not letting that vile little gargoyle destroy what we’ve got.”
