A previously unheard duet between music icons Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson has been released.

The band Queen today announced new album Queen Forever, which will contain three new tracks featuring the legendary gay singer, who died of AIDS-related pneumonia in 1990.

The collection including the famously locked-away duet between the band and Michael Jackson, There Must Be More To Life Than This.

It aired for the first time on Radio 2 this morning, over three decades since it was recorded, in 1982. The album is scheduled to be released on November 10.

Lady Gaga united onstage with rock band – who are currently touring with Adam Lambert standing in for Mercury – for an Australian concert last month.

Ben Whishaw last year signed on to play Freddie Mercury in a planned biopic, after Sacha Baron Cohen pulled out of the project.

However, after the film’s director also quit, Whishaw admitted he did not know whether the film was still going ahead.
