Stephen Fry donates over £2,000 to campaign to save Jewish LGBT organisation
Stephen Fry has for a second time donated to save a Jewish LGBT organisation, making his total contributions more than £2,000.
Mr Fry tweeted his support of a campaign to save Rainbow Jews, which aims to showcase and highlight Jewish LGBT history from 1950s to the present.
Stephen Fry donated over £2,000 in total, with an initial donation of £500, and a later donation of over £1,700.
Initially funded by a National Lottery grant over two-years, Rainbow Jews is now seeking alternate means of continuing its work.
A message of thanks for Mr Fry was published by Rainbow Jews, reading: “THANK YOU,on behalf of ALL Rainbow Jews, you’re a real MENSCH!”
