Psychic Sally won’t cancel Brighton show as protestors condemn husband for homophobia
TV psychic Sally Morgan will not be cancelling her show in Brighton after campaigners pledged to “stand against” the homophobic abuse of her husband and son-in-law.
The Argus reports that campaigners are considering holding a protest outside the psychic’s next show on Friday at the Theatre Royal.
Psychic Sally has since sacked her husband and son-in-law and conceded “now I honestly have no idea what is going to happen to my marriage.”
However, campaigners say the apology is not enough.
Kate Crawford, 28, a trans woman from Essex, had called on social media to protest her show before the apology, saying people should “stand against hatred and bigotry.”
Following the apology, she said it was “up to the individual” if they wanted to protest, adding Mrs Morgan should make a donation to a LGBT charity.
“I think there are about 40 people planning to protest,” she added.
“I am actually a believer; I was going to see her next year but have cancelled my seats.
“The video is horrible, it is so awful.”
A spokesman for her company, Sally Morgan Enterprises, said there were no plans to cancel any shows.
