Police arrest two men suspected of vicious anti-gay attack ‘dressed as fairies’
Police have arrested two men have in connection with a homophobic attack in Surbiton by assailants wearing pink tutus.
The pair hurled anti-gay abuse at their two victims, before punching them and kicking them in the head.
According to the Evening Standard, two 26-year-old men have been arrested in connection to the incident, which they are now describing as a “hate crime.”
One of the victims, 21-year-old Robbie Kingsford, needed hospital treatment after the attack.
His 18-year-old friend was also injured in the assault.
Mr Kingsford’s father thanked people for their support in tracking down the suspects after he had vowed to “catch” them.
He said: “Again today I thank you all. God bless each and everyone of you all my best wishes. Be safe”.
