PHOTOS: LGBT Bar business legal conference in London
Earlier this week the world’s largest organisation of LGBT and allied legal professionals held a business legal conference in London, and awards.
The event was presented by LGBT Bar in association with the UK’s Interlaw Diversity Forum and hosted by JP Morgan.
Following the conference was the Out & Proud and Allies for Justice Award Reception, held at the Club at the Ivy.
Among others honoured at the awards were Gillian Phillips,Director of Editorial Legal Services at the Guardian, and Fiona Woolf, former Lord Mayor of London.
An award was also given to ‘4 stars under 40, recognising LGBT legal professionals under the age of 40 “who are rising stars in the profession and have demonstrated a profound commitment to LGBT equality.”
Those awards were given to Tuvia Borok , the Executive Director & Senior Counsel at Goldman Sachs, Sarah Rock, an Associate at RPC LLP, Hassan Khan, a Barrister at 4 Paper Buildings and Colin Rogerson, a Solicitor Advocate at Dawson Cornwell.
Woolf was praised at the event for being the first Lord Mayor to host and attend LGBT receptions. She recently stepped down as the chair of the government’s abuse inquiry.
