Paul Weller’s son comes out as bisexual
The son of musician Paul Weller has revealed that he is bisexual, and praised his “hugely supportive” father.
The Jam frontman – who has son Nathaniel and daughters Lea and Dylan – had no problem at all when his son came out to him.
Nathaniel Weller previously insisted he was not gay in interviews, saying: “Of course I’m not gay. I don’t have a girlfriend, but I get a lot of boy and girl attention.”
However, he has since come out to his father, who told Nathaniel: “People are people no matter what they are, as long as they aren’t hurting anyone.”
26-year-old Natt – now a singer himself – told Attitude: “He’s got no problem with it at all.”
He added, of hiding his sexuality from his father: “It got difficult because his schtick is that working-class hero thing.
“The media see him as this alpha male character, even though The Style Council was pretty homoerotic. It was kind of daunting but there was nothing to really worry about.
He added of being in the closet: “It was awkward sneaking people out in the morning, that’s for sure!”
