Taco Bell praises fake advert featuring gay couple

Fast food chain Taco Bell has praised the creators of a hoax advertisement featuring a gay couple.
A gay-themed ad for the taco chain has been circulating online this month, purporting to be a genuine advertisement that was scrapped by the company.
The clip features a same-sex couple going on a date, finding hidden treasure and getting married, after enjoying breakfast at Taco Bell.
However, Taco Bell has now denied all involvement in producing the ad – but praised the creators for its message.
A spokesperson told Gawker: “We didn’t create this ad, but we can see the people who did share the same Live Mas passion for our brand – and our breakfast – as we do.”
Shockingly, the company also appeared to extend an open invitation for a similar genuine ad, saying: “Although we cannot condone unauthorized use of our intellectual property, we are impressed with their work and would be open to meeting with them.”
