One Direction star’s ‘prank’: I’ve been experimenting with my sexuality
One Direction singer Niall Horan has come under fire, after he hijacked a fellow singer’s Twitter to claim he was “experimenting” with his sexuality.
21-year-old Niall Horan was meeting with Irish musician Niall Breslin, when he posted a message from Breslin’s phone reading: “I’ve been experimenting with my sexuality. No conclusions reached as of yet but it’s been a fun ride so far.”
Breslin promptly deleted the tweet, writing: “The last tweet came to you from [TV star Eoghan McDermott] and [Niall Horan]. Schoolboy error.”
A number of people condemned the childish prank – including Irish hurler Conor Cusack, who wrote: “subtle tweets like that exploiting a persons sexuality in a negative way doesn’t help things fellas”.
Mr McDermott later wrote: “Very childish and ill-thought out. Apologies indeed. Zero offence intended to any beautiful person.”
However, Niall Horan has not apologised for the message.
Earlier this month, Zayn, Louis and Niall revealed their “man crushes” while speaking to the London Lesbian and Gay Switchboard.
“Just be yourself. If that’s who you are, that’s who you are and don’t be afraid to be the person that you are,” said Zayn Malik, 21.
